Some time last year the Cleveland Crusaders who will be attending the 2011 World Jamboree in Sweden decided that in order to help raise funds for the trip would do a sponsored fancy dress sea dip.
This decision was probably taken in some nice warm meeting, then the reality of the day arrived it was January 3rd at Saltburn sea front, the air temperature was a balmy 1.0 Deg C and to the best of the writers knowledge the sea looked even colder but I had no intention of finding out.
Twenty unit members and two parents suffered the blistering temperatures in the name of scouting.
